I have a U Line ice maker and it works great making about 20 lbs. a day.
I really liked it but DW wanted cabanit space so I took it out and it now sits in my garage, so back to trays.

If you look at most of the inexpensive icemakers (that you pour the water in the top and they make ice, but aren't freezers), you will see they all look very much alike, even though they have different brand names, different colors and different "hype". My Magic Chef has the same drain, handles, etc. as the Al-210 in the link above and the Mr. Freeze (mentioned in a prior post) and, to me, looks identical to both of them.
The bottom line is they are a lot like new televisions. If you have problems during the warranty period, you will probably try to get it repaired, but if it's out of warranty, they are so inexpensive, you probably aren't going to take them to a tech that is going to charge $50/hour (or more) to repair it.
My advice is to look around and buy the least expensive one you can find.
I bought mine for the camper, but since the icemaker in the refrigerator retired, it has found a home in the house and is used a lot. I'm on my third year with no problems (yet). When I have problems, it will go the scrapyard and I will buy the least expensive one I can find.

When my grown kids were inspecting our new fifth wheel, one asked why we bought a trailer that sleeps 4. My reply was that we couldn't find one that sleeps 2!
