Does anyone know the condition of Sask highway 35 south from Weyburn to the US border? We will be going south at the end of July and want to make sure we are taking a route that isn't full of pot holes and gravel sections.
Thanks for any input!

Thanks for the useless post. If I wanted YOUR opinion, than I would have pm'd you. The question was regarding one section of highway that was known in the past to be pretty rough. Why do some people have to cheese others off with stupid comments?

Wow somebody didn't get up on the right side of the Bed this Morning!
The OP is correct "The Pothole Province" comment wasn't necessary even if it is close to correct.
What I'm wondering as it has been about 50 Years since I was last down that Road is why My Good Buddy from Regina is inquiring here on an international forum about Road conditions that are in His Back Yard!

Robag,
I'll be heading down 35 on July 1. Going thru Williston to the black hills (I think that is where you are headed if I recall from a previous post).
I can pm you if you like and let you know how it is....

shlms78:
Thanks for that. When are you back in Regina? We will be leaving for the Black Hills on July 22nd, but camping out at Douglas PP from the 17th - 21st. So I may not check RV.Net out after July 17th.
robatthelake:
It may have been 50 years since you were on that road, for me it has been 25 years since I was on that stretch of highway. I did ask a few people around here that may have been on it and I received conflicting reports as to the condition of the highway. You are right that it is an international forum, even though well over 95% of the participants are American, but I did ask in the Canada section hoping somebody may have driven there in the last few months. It doesn't hurt to ask here, or at least I didn't think it should.
PavementPilot:
Maybe you get off cutting down other provinces and maybe even your own, but I'm sorry that's not the kind of guy I am. I take offense to somebody cutting down my province just as much as I do about my city and my country. Any time somebody says something negative about where I choose to live and raise my family, I feel like they are cutting me down. I've lived in BC and Nova Scotia, and I've spent a ton of time in Alberta and there are negatives that I've seen in all three provinces, but do I say anything negative? No, I choose to take the high road and I don't bother posting to the OP's question. Reply if you want, cut me down if you want, but as far as I am concerned, I am done with this post.
Peace out!

Saskatchewan has the most miles of roads of any of the Provinces or territories in Canada (true). Some roads are better than others, some are great, some are brutally & pitifully maintained. Hopefully, our recent change in Government and the higher revenues they are getting from the ever increasing fuel values will go back into the roads of the Province.
Besides, I'm not offended by any of the comments - even those made by the tree hugging/Birkinstock + plaid shirt wearing/granola eating/wacky tabacky smoking folks from BC ....
BTW, I love BC...and the Rednecks from Alberta...

Thanks for any input!
Your Ministry of Transportation puts out road reports on its web site; road repairs, etc. I have used this on previous trips but be aware that the Ministry tends to be a little optimistic about the condition of its highways!
