Thinking about going to casino's in Tunica MS. What are the chances of flooding?

As I recall, Tunica is up quite a ways from the river (substantial hill/bluff), so it should be fine. We didn't visit from land, but saw it from a steamboat cruise.

Spent last night there. No problems, crossed the Mississippi River three times no problewms. I would not recommend Harrahs.

I checked Harrahs price and they were very proud, what about Sam's, they quoted $15.95 a nite.

The "nicest" RV park in Tunica is Harrah's (bigger sites and more of a park-like resort), but not walking distance to the casino(s) although there is a shuttle every half hour or so. Sam's Town and Hollywood (which is where we usually stay) are more like parking lots with full hook-ups--not a lot of difference in the two. Both are actually pretty nice, though--and if you get enough points on your Hollywood Players Card (not sure about the others), you might even get comped on check-out!

Have read all your post on Tunica. We are planning on staying there tomorrow night. If Harrah's is not our first choice what are the pros/cons of the others. Just need a place to stay and gamble, do not need anything but hook ups. Thanks

Stay at the Hollywood. Gamping is only 50 yards from casino.
Also clean.

We like Hollywood also, they even have handicap rv parking, just a short walk out to the casino's back door, they give you a code to key in so can get in any time. They also have a nice glass enclosed non-smoking area where we spent much of our time. They have plenty of lights and you feel as secure at night as in the daytime.I think the rates were $16,we were there in April.
