Hi guys! I just wanted to go into detail about my propride install. Now I just want to make something clear, I've never installed this type of hitch before. I build cabinets for a living, so keep that in mind before you judge me on my mistakes.

I followed the instructions to the best of my ability. I put the hole thing on and I couldn`t get the thing to unhitch. I lowered and raised my tongue jack a million times. After talking to Sean at
Propride, we came to the conclusion that I have an alignment problem between the hitch bar, that`s the part that goes into the receiver of the TV and the main unit. The page that goes over how to set up hitch bar offset was a little confusing to me. It tells you to measure your offset from your truck and the trailer coupler, which I did. Unfortunately, you don't know if it is right until you go to seperate the truck from the trailer. After I finally got the two apart I could see that I was off about an inch-half to 2". Let me take a minute to tell right now I practically had to tie the trailer to the house to get it apart. So I e-mailed Sean and he got back to me by phone within an hour. It`s nice to see that kind of response time, very rare these days. Now that I have the two apart, I can pass on what the height of the main unit is from the ground up (if needed). Then all you would have to do is set the offset hitch bar the same height. Also, the spring bars have six holes in them, the instructions only show three. The bars are longer than the originals so you can line up main unit easier. Which is an upgrade according to Sean. So in summary line everthing up level the main unit with spring bars, and hitch bar with the correct offset. And... you SHOULD be okay!!! I hope I didn`t confuse you too much!
GOOD LUCK !
