IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT I CAN CALL TO WALK ME THROUGH TROUBLESHOOTING? I'm trying to get my rig, see sig, ready to go tonight. I started flushing the water system and while the tanks were filling I re-installed the three 12v batts. The gauge (idiot lights) in the rv came up dim and then went completely out. I have power to all the interior lights and water pump. I have turned on the LP gas to start cooling the fridge, but nothing is coming up on the lights. I also can't get my gen to even crank. IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT I CAN CALL TO WALK ME THROUGH TROUBLESHOOTING?

Hey there.

Just to clarify, your problem is with the sensor panel and the fridge correct? SOC on the batteries? How about a voltage reading across a 12v circuit?

if you can check the battery voltage ,one battery at a time. May need charging or replacement. The voltage should be approx 12 volts or more

If everything was working fine before.... Disconnect new batt's... Make sure your main 12V power switch is in the off position. Have a beer and clear your mind of when you hooked them up..... Rehook it all up paying attention to making sure the positive is on positive and the neg is on neg (all 12V correct?).. Sometimes you might have just made a bad connection and this will solve all the problems.. turn back on the 12V system and give her a try..

Good luck

I would disconnect the three batteries and perform an independent voltage test on each battery. Chances are one of the batteries may have a dead cell. I had a dead cell on one of my batteries and it pulled the other battery down pretty fast.

If the batteries are okay reinstall and be sure they are connected parallel and be sure all of the grounds are good.

Somewhere there is a village without it's idiot...said idiot is me. When I hooked up my batts I was looking at a picture from last year. When I put the bats in, they were backwards from last year. I had the batts wired backwards. I realized it when I went to open one of the vents on top via switch...up went down and down went up. Thank you all for your speedy replies. If you are ever in the need of an idiot, please let me know.
Thanks

Don't feel back I did the same thing a couple of years ago. Thought the battery was no good and bought a new one. Same problem, After a couple of hours of messing with things I realized that I had them hooked up backwards.

Don't worry about it, that's what we're here for. I know the state you're in, prepping for that trip out, way too much on the mind. Small, simple things get missed. Will make for a great laugh around the fire tonight!

Gald things worked out okay. My dad used to tell me to look for the simple solutions first. It's an easy mistake when you're rushing around getting ready for a trip.

Have fun. Wish I was going somewhere instead of working.
