What would be the advantage to going to an LT than staying with the trailer tire? I only ask this because we had a tire blow out this past weekend coming home. I have a 2008 Hornet 29RLS tires have less than 700 miles on them. Duro Tires ST 225/75D15 load range D Max Load 2540lbs at 65psi.

welcome to the forum.
reliability is a big advantage of the LT tire over a ST especially in the size trailer you have and that particulr size tire. Some years back changing to 15" LTs was easy as there were lots of quality USA made 15" LTs on the market for 1500 size trucks. Today there are only a couple of sizes made as those 1500 trucks have gone to 16" and larger size wheels. Just make sure their made in the USA. That why going to 16" LT tires/wheels makes for a very reliable combo.
I would suggest a upgrade to 16" trailer wheels and a choice of several size USA made LTs E load range that will fit under your wheel wells. Do a search on the subject as there will be pages of reading on this topic.

As Jim says, read up and decide. We've put over 160,000 miles on various ST tires to date with no issues (well did get a nail hole patched once), but we've never used Chinese tires. Maybe just luck, but it works for us. Current tires are ST205/75R15's.
