All I remember from the front living room models is that they all had very high pin weight. We looked at a Cedar Creek FLR model when we bought ours. It was about 300# heavier in the nose (IIRC). Also, our dealer said that resale value was lower on these models as there was little demand. He stopped carrying them on his lot and would only order them with non-refundable deposits. That said, it is a different layout.

I know...sounds nuts.
Anyone know of a builder that offers anything like that?
Thanks a bunch.
I guess I am just being nosy, but why a back bedroom? Wouldn't you rather be sitting in the back of your coach with a big window enjoying the outside view? If you have a front livingroom you have a more confined feeling. When hubby and I were looking for our first 5th wheel (always had class A's) we saw some front living areas, but they seemed too dark. Sorry can't remember which brands now.
Anyway just curious? Good Luck and happy camping.
We have a motorhome and own an RV lot. When we are there, there is nothing to see out the back and a big window, to look out, in the front. One day, when we get about done with traveling a lot, we have thought about putting a permanently parked 5TH wheel on the site.
Our concern is...Will we feel closed in without the window in the front? A livingroom or a kitchen up front would give us more visibility to the outside than having the bedroom there.

Montana was making them a few years back. we really like it, The problem was they had close to zero storage in the basement. AS for front kitchen I saw one a couple years ago it was an AX6 by Fleetwood, the problem I see with a front kitchen would be the pin weight, have to beleive it would be at least 800 to 1000#s more than a conventional 5er. Also the bedroom was in the rear and sitting in the center lounge felt like we were in a dart hole, we didn't like it at all.
I don't know what front living room 5-ers you guys saw. The Kit had the same under front storage as any with a front bedroom. They are not heavier since the living room furniture is not much more than what is in the front bedrooms now. Mine had very large windows and was very airy. If I could find another like it with a slide up there, I would go for it, I think.

Take a look at the Newmar fifth wheels. I've been in a few on dealer's lot that had front living room. It was a disorienting feeling as I'm used to the traditional arrangement. Good luck!
You might check New Horizons RV web site, they sell only factory direct & custom build any floorplan you want. They are in Junction City, Kansas, on I-70.

Which model? Had to be older as I don't think they make them anymore.
