I've had the same anode for 5 years. We use our TT about 2 weeks per year. The anode rod is 85% intact. I remove it from the water heater when I winterize. I'll probably get a new one next year, although it likely won't be necessary.

Do all TT water heaters have the anode rod? When I picked up my 2008 Jay Feather LGT 25F, I asked the service guy about it and he said it didn't have one. My 2008 Casita had one.
Thanks.

I would probably shoot for less than 50% this will give you some room if you can't get a replacement. It would be a good idea to just do it every spring, they aren't that much money.

Got home to check Atwood manual and no anode rod is used in their 4, 6, 10 gallon models (4E & 10E). Winterizing (Flushing) instructions and parts list also do not ention or list an anode rod.

The Atwood water heater does not use an anode rod. The tank is aluminum clad and does not require one. In fact, if I remember correctly, Atwood says that the use of one will void the warranty.
