The BC in my 2006 Silverado has lost power, it has been in the truck for 2 years and I used it last weekend with no problem. I have checked the wiring back to where it plugs in under the dash and everything is fine but there doesn't appear to be any 12v coming from the truck at the plug in. I assume that I have shorted something and blown a fuse but I have checked every fuse that I could find without any luck.
I am sure that I have missed something simple but I'm at loss as to what to try next... so.... I am open to suggestions

Thanks

40 amp fuse in the fuse block under the hood would be my first thought.

That would be my first thought too. Wouldn't have known about that fuse if we didn't have to plug one in to make our BC work initially.

That was the first thing I tried, but I went back for another look, turns out there is a 30 amp on the right hand side of the fuse box labeled stud #2, that was the culprit
Thanks for the input guys

Glad you found it and that it was a simple fix.

Camp on!

I have this same problem with my Dodge. Every so often mine will die to. I take out the 40amp fuse and put it back in and it's good to go.
