Only have had MH mounted because it seemed the best from useage standpoint and it minimizes the clutter on the front of the toad.

Get one that detatches from the toad and stays mounted to the MH. No sense in having the thing sticking out when you are cruising the toad.

We have a Blue Ox Alladin for our Jeep. It's a good product and very easy to hook up.

exactly, I have the blue ox aventa II myself. and be sure whatever bar you buy has levers to release it, not slip rings.
the hookup is much easier than a solid V shaped stay on the toad one. more flexibility.

MH mounted is much easier!
Because you have two independent legs on tow bar you don't have to be exactly in the right place, straight back, right distance, ect.
I never need to have the DW guide me in. I just pull up to the back of the MH, extend the legs of the towbar and hook up.

I have the Aventa II by Blue Ox 10K capy and it stays on the coach. I think it is a great tow bar. No problems in the last five years and 37K miles.

I opted for the RV-mount.. I like the looks much better and I don't have that big bar to haul around on my towed.

As for hooking up.. If anything it is easier

Blue Ox Aventa II mounted on the MH works well for me. I had a Roadmaster All Terrain that was toad mounted and it was easy but I like this bar better.

I have always used toad-mounted, with the bar attatched to the toad's brackets with pins...when unhooking, the bar is removed & I usually put it under the rear of the bus. The only thing visible are 2 brackets on the bumper.

I agree with MH mounted. Much easier for one person in my opinion.
