I am a mechanic! I have my own shop! I personally specialize in wheel alignments and electronics/computerized diagnostics and air conditioning. I do an average of 5 or 6 alignments per day, I have NEVER done an alignment on a trailer! There are NO adjustments (other than shifting the axles)! Don't know why he'd tell you this. ???????????????????????????????????????????????

How much does he want to charge you for this service?

Maybe they are thinking one axle might be more forward than another causing my slightly off center steering wheel when i turn corners?

Remember it only happens when I pull the trailer. Again my Tahoe did the same thing when I pulled the HTT.

I think every other year should be adequate. That way you can have it done when you are in to to rotate the air in the tires and change out the flux adjuster without making an extra trip. Never heard of such a thing!

IF the axles could be adjusted or repositioned, it is a great idea to have them checked. Semi trailers need adjusting all the time from drivers curbing the trailer. It moves one side back and then it doglegs left or right. This is especially important when pulling doubles. They must be aligned to pull straight. IF your axles are not running perfectly straight with each other, then some of your tires are scrubbing the ground at freeway speeds causing overheating. Kaboom! Hmmmm. Anyway, this is much simpler than aligning a steer axle. Use a long straight edge and place along the edge of all the tires. They should touch equally at all points on both sides of the trailer. The front and rear of the straight edge should be the exact same distance away from the frame as well. It will require two people to hold and measure the points to the frame. If it's out, it may require some mechanical assistance to reposition them or a trip to a frame shop. They are very good at this. Just some info to pass along, something we deal with every day in the trucking industry. Hope it helps!

Along with the blinker fluid and muffler bearings

All joking aside I'm just trying to figure out why the steering is off when I turn corners.
