The Datastorm listing only includes folks who want to be listed and those who update their information every 10 days. IE, you drop off the list if you don't send your location information regularly.

It's a very cool system. Anyone using Hughes satellite can register, not just Datastorm users.

Blogspot/Blogger is the biggie of the blog sponsors. The link to Datastorm users isn't really a listing of blog sites, it just shows the internet presence of those who choose to list them (and who have not fallen off the map, like us).

Thanks, I didn't know they had to update or they would fall off the map. I like to use it as a "list" because I'll pick what ever blog depending on which area I want to visit while drinking my coffee...

Usually they'll have something to say about the area they're parked at for the night. If they just ramble about nothing, or it's directed at just family members then I move on to another one.

well, I think it's time to start blog surfing...

Forums only for me. When I want to know what one person has to say I tune in to AM radio. The radio also gets me local news and weather at the same time.

Blogs tend to be more "Soap box in the park" type "Discussions"

Forums seem to be more "Round Table"

I prefer Round Table

Forums give those who choose to post - a chance to offer an opinion on a subject or to impart some wisdom learned from experience - and those who do not choose to participate can learn from reading the postings of others who do. I too prefer forums, but enjoy both forms of communication and discussion.

Lots of different ways to learn things. Read a book, watch TV, Blogs, Forums, seminars, etc. Pick one that works for you. So far in the U.S., there's room for everybody.
Although why anyone would live north of the Red River on purpose seems a little odd to me.

I like blogs because they usually have photos and I like to see what it's like where people are traveling. I started my own RV adventure photo blog when we went full time and have really enjoyed doing it and meeting via internet people who find it interesting. I think it's the photos that bring people back... I'm still working on the art of "writing". Ha! Check us out. mark and bobbie.
