Look in your fuse box, the AC and the Micro are on the same breaker. In mine I have room to add another breaker, and split the two You can get the breakers at any hardware store. Take the other one with you so you can get the correct one
It also depends on where you are plugged in. At home plugged into a 20 amp outlet I can only run one or the other. At a campground plugged into 30 amps I can use both.

It sounds like your excedding your 30 amp max limit. Check your Microwave, and see what the wattage and amps are for it. Most RV's, can't run the A/C and Microwave at the same time, unless you have a very small wattage, amp Microwave. Your going to have to turn off the A/C in order to use your Microwave. Even if your A/C and Microwave is on the same circuit, it won't do any good to add another breaker, if it still exceeds your max of 30 amps. We are lucky as we have only a 750 Watt Max Microwave, so we can run our 13,500 btu A/C and Microwave at the same time. And still have power to spare. Good Luck. Happy Camping, Dan & Jill

You don't say, and I'm guessing that the breaker you're tripping is the one feeding the outlet the RV is plugged into? If so, it's just too much load, and you need to manage your usage while plugged in there.

Best solution is to convert to 50 amp service. All it takes is a new 60 or 100 amp breaker subpanel and 25 ft 50 amp cord. I converted one in spring and overall cost was less than $250. If you are tripping the main 30 amp breaker, then adding additional breakers will not help at all. 30 amps is 30 amps no matter how it is split up. Manufacturers keep loading our campers down with the latest electric gadgets and continue to install these cheap 30 amp services, then if you complain they just say well you can only run one big item at a time. My better half did not like having to cut the a/c just to use the microwave.
