I have a Dometic refrigerator that runs on 110 AC and propane. It is nine years old. This season my ground fault circuit interrupter kept tripping, and I finally traced the problem to the refrigerator. I unplugged the AC cord and the unit runs normally on propane. Does anyone have any ideas on how to troubleshoot the problem? Or is this a job that should be left to the pros?

Sounds like the electric element, if so it is not hard to change out and not expensive. It only slides into a cavity along the burner tube..
