I need some advice. We are planning a five week trip from Tucson to the Oregon coast. Planning at least two to three weeks going up and back down the coast. Our rig is a 29 ft. Itasca Spirit. Do I need to take my tow vehicle? We will be on the move most days, two days in one spot maximum. I'm concerned about parking at scenic spots and small towns while towing. Please advise
Let your experience by your guide. Obviously, your concern is real. Are you willing to bypass some scenic spots because you might be unable to park there?
I'm assuming you're not taking the toad in order to maximize fuel economy. Do the math and figure how much more it would cost to take the toad. Then you can decide what the real cost is and whether it's worth it to you or not. For myself, I always take the toad as I love the freedom it allows; but that's me. Have a great time in Oregon!
As long as you are not towing, you shouldn't have a problem. That was the size of our previous rig, and I can only think of a couple of places that would be problematic even with our current 31' MH. Most areas and towns are designed to accommodate tourists both with and without RVs. :-)

I think most attractions will be right along the coast highway where there are many state parks and turnouts for enjoying the views and beaches so I would be ok without the toad. I like having the dinghy as a "life boat" though in case of breakdown, etc.
