Our home in Arkansas is about 40 miles from Petti Jean. It is one of our favorites in Arkansas.

It has been several years since we have been there but it was beautiful in the fall. I do believe that the state plant must be poison ivy from the quantity we saw in the park.
The trip into the park on the east end was a bit steep.

We were at Lake Dardanelle last Sept. We visited Petit Jean, and I seem to remember the road there being quite steep. We have a 35' fiver. What's the best route to take?
We're looking to go back this Sept. BTW the photos are great!
Thanks......

Can MH campers access all the facilities without a dinghy?

Dry_Fly asked if a motorhome can access all of the facilities without a dinghy.
No, there are several areas that are far enough away form the camp ground that require driving that do not provide adequate parking for a MH. The main overlook of the falls does have parking for large vehicles bit that is about it.

Skip N Barb Team,
We took I30 East to 430 North (just outside of Little Rock). Then, we picked up I40 West to highway 9. I just took the address of the campgropund (you can find it on their web site) and plugged it into google maps.
It took us right at 7 hours to make the trip. That includes getting stuck in traffic in Dallas and a 20 to 30 minute pit stop in Texarkana. They have a Flying J just on the other side of Texarkana with RV fill-up lanes.

I/we were there maybe 10 years or so ago. Is there still a turn of the century type iron fence around her grave there at the top. And a very good antique car museum there ???

The drive up is quite steep. Just view it as a test to see if you really have the right tow vehicle. :-)
Petit Jean has some of the best hiking around, imo.
