It is amazing how we get used to an adequate tow vehicle and when we finally get a tow vehicle that is more than just adequate for towing how much better it is?

That is the understatement of the year!! It's nice having more tow vehicle than you need.... Now we can buy that bigger trailer

As long as it is within reason. My dually was 12,000 lbs too much truck. Heck, this one is 8600(1 ton chassis but 2500) and I'm only towing 6000.

It is true, I didn't use a drop of oil or water going back to SDAK 2 years ago. And I didn't even need WD with the Ford! Going east on I70 passing many a diesel! I still prefer going up to Salt Lake and then across. I hate I70 east of the "peak"! It will be a while before I see how the 2500 handles our TT, due to job challenges with the wife. I don't expect any issues at all.

My issue with the dually, it was my daily driver also, and gas was killing me.

Using the dually as a daily driver had to hurt the pocketbook. We use our tow vehicle pretty much just for that: towing. I drive an old Dodge Stratus back and forth to work (26 mpg). I will drive the Excursion in the winter when it gets bad out.
