Headed back to one of our favorite riding spots, on Friday. Turned out to be a wonderful weekend. Though its hard to complain when you have great friends, good weather and great trails! We all cut out of work and headed out about Noon. Couple hours later we were setting up camp. Turns out they were having a Poker run for the EMS - so having never done one we decided to give it a try Saturday morning. Then Friday night on our first run out I started having problems. Turns out my Polaris 500 belt was disintegrating. Thankfully Greg Close, EMS Volunteer at the Park was able to check with a Polaris store about 45 miles away, and his wife brought it up with her.

My wife sat out on the Poker run so we had 11 rigs in our party make the 18 mile run. My youngest ended up with the best hand out of our group with two pair - he picked out a nice fishing pole for his prize. Everyone else, even me with my horrible hand got a prize - they had over $4,000 worth of goodies. I was able to get my new belt back on and after lunch we hit the trails again - wonderful ride once again.

Saturday night we were treated to a bit of rain and an amazing light show. As it rained we had a huge rainbow, and eventually a double rainbow appear, (photo below) then we had a great lightening and thunder storm for a few hours. About dark they light off the bonfire, which was the usual HUGE fire that lit up the sky - great evening!

Sunday they had a Kids Obstacle Course, which all of our kids participated in. After that it was back on the trails for our last right. Sadly one of the women in the group ended up with a gash in her leg after her bike landed on its side. They raced back to camp and to the EMS guys, the rest of us worked out way back home a bit slower.

All in all it was a great weekend. Big thanks goes out to the volunteers at the Morrow County OHV Park and the EMS Volunteers - sure makes it comforting knowing you have folks there to help you out when you get in a bind.

Forced Family Fun... They'll thank you later for it!
