Just cut the old plug off, Lowes sells a connector you can put your cable on and you will have a brand new male plug. The cable goes into the plug and there are three lug nuts to insert and connect each of the three wires to.

I like that idea but I have never seen an amp rating on those ring terminals. Are we supposed to assume they are good for 30 amps if the #10 wire fits?
Mine needed repair or replacement, at Walmart they had a 10/3, 30', 30A extension for $36. I cut 18" off the female end, and wired the new 28-1/2 foot cord into my TT. Gained 3-1/2 foot over old cord. Wired a heavy 15A male end($8) to the 18", Made a nice 15/30A adapter. I cut the ends off the old TT cord and wired into my shop breaker panel and put a female 30A receptacle with weather cover($18) on the outside to plug the TT in. I was pretty proud of myself, for about $62 got alot done, about thirty minutes to do all the wiring.
Cowilke. That's what I am going to do. I bought a RV 30 amp extension cord off Ebay for $31.00. I'm going to cut the female end off, attach terminals and wire it inside the trailer. The old core with eventually be made into an extension cord. I've never needed an extension core but I will have one if I ever do. Thanks for the idea of making the adapter. Eventually, I'm going to install a 30 amp hookup at my house but that's a future project.
