Use diamondite bug shield on the cap before you travel and the bugs wash off. Why scrub the bugs off if you can shield the paint from the bugs. We have used diamondite for 1000s' of miles and it works great.

Coat the front cap with lemon pledge After a rain coat it again. Then use drier sheets.

I've used Bounce sheets and they work reasonably well - I just don't care for the smell. I have a extensible window squeegee/nylon scrubber tool and found that I can just scape off a number of them. I've also found that using Fantastic with the nylon scrubber works very well to remove bug goo. You can use Fantastic to clean them off the front of your truck and windshield as well.

Fantastic is also a good insect killer as well. So many uses, so little time.

So do the fabric softener sheets have to be "Bounce" brand sheets?

Every time I hear of this method, its always mentioned as the "Bounce" sheets.

Or is it like everybody calling all tissues "Kleenex"?

I'm not sure about other brands ... but I tried "Bounce" brand sheets and it worked like a charm ...

O.K......I gotta ask...Do you use the Bounce sheets right out of the box, or after they've been used in the dryer?

Thanks

You can use them out of the box or ones out of the dryer. Any brand works. I use the store brand and they work just the same.

When we got to the campground while on a trip last month the front of the unit was loaded with lovebugs. After getting them off (Bounce sheets and elbow grease)I found that I did not have any wax with me. I sprayed the front with WD-40 and wipped it off. Upon returning home I rinsed the front with a garden hose expecting again scrub the bugs off. Surprise, they were gone after only a rinse. Going to try it again on the next trip.
