I am currently on a first trip towing my 08 Silverado HD. The Roadmaster tow brackets have failed and Roadmaster has yet to call me back about the problem. It has been 3 full days plus the weekend. I both called them and sent them pictures via e-mail last thursday early a.m. but alas, no response. This is my fourth set of Roadmaster brackets on 4 different vehicles, and I guess my last.

Just saying the brackets "failed" doesn't give us much information. Can you be more specific as to what the problem is?

Did you only call them once, I would be calling everyday. The old squeaky wheel theory.

Did you contact Roadmanster INC.? There is another company called Roadmaster that sell the same thing. But it is "NOT" connected with Roadmaster INC.http://www.roadmasterinc.com/ This is the correct one.

You might find out they are in the process of moving across the river from Portland OR to Vancouver WA. But you would think the would get there phone calls.
I looked up there numbers the numbers are still Portland, OR 503-288-9898 or 800-669-9690

There was someone else posting that their RoadMaster brackets had failed, but when he posted pictures it was easy to see that the bolts had worked loose and fallen out first. He refused to belive the evidence that his pictures provided. He never did come back and report the outcome (that I saw anyway).

I would second the "how failed" question. I'd also suggest that you not only contact Roadmaster but also whomever installed them for you. If you did the install yourself, be aware that you bare the legal responsibility for everything except material and workmanship defects on the parts themselves.

Please share details and post pictures.

It would be nice to see a picture and know exactly how it failed. As for Roadmaster they are the worst as far as backing their products. At one end or the scale there is Fantastic Vent and at the other end in the toilet is Roadmaster.

Don’t expect anything not even sympathy from them, they spend every moment explaining why it is EVERYONES fault but theirs.

They lost a long time customer in me and gained a person that will 2nd anyone’s complaint against them.

Before you condem Roadmaster take a look at why havasufun doesn't care for the company. Here's a link to one of his previous posts and what he thnks is Roadmaster's responsibility.

Decide for youself whether his complaint is valid.

Sorry to take so long getting back here folks. The brackets were bent badly on my arrival at Island Park Idaho. I called Thursday morning when they opened and sent photos, was assured by DeAnna that a tech would call me shortly. Tech never called. Friday morning I called again and was assured a tech would call back. NO call.

Called late Friday and asked how long I should expect to wait, was told a tech would call.Took the brackets into a welding shop in West Yellowstone and had them weld a third gusset on each bracket for more strength.

Called monday twice and was told a tech would call, and he did, asked me to send pictures. I told him I already did. He said he would investigate. No call back that day. Tuesday afternoon Jack called and said he needed more pictures, by then already on the road to AZ. He also said I should not expect anything to happen on a Thursday, Friday or Monday as this is their busy season.

On arrival in Az Wednesday I had to leave the next morning for CA. so installed the brackets from my previous 02 Tahoe and away I went.

It appears the original brackets were built with soft steel.

There was no bolt failure or loosening.
