We like our rear bathroom. But, neither of us are fond of cooking. My sister-in-law is an amateur chef and she loves her rear kitchen for all the room.
If you pack it right it won't move or break. Just takes a bit of thinking to work it out, and maybe some extra time to get it ready for traveling.
Our rear bathroom vanity was a problem on the first pull. Then figured out it needed to be secured and the drawers needed some extra securing straps.
We have one storage area in the center of the trailer where everything moves around. Why? Just because we use that one as a 'shove it' space, ie, we just shove things up there and don't really care how it is laid out. All of our other cabinets are carefully arranged and locked shut during travel.

We have a rear kitchen model and love it compared to some mid kitchen models. Some mid kitchen models have a living area , but still have to "look thru" kitchen to see the tv.
The weight issue isnnt a big deal. I just load all are cargo in the front basements, and bedroom area
You do have to stack things in the kitchen more carefully, Things bounce around more back there. We have never had a broken plate or such, I even carry eggs in the fridge while traveling and never had a problem.
Just get the floor plan you like most, whatever floorplan you get, you can adjust for while towing.
ENJOY!
Personal preference...but DW loves or RK. Lots of kitchen space and we both like that the 'living' area is not broken up and also the cross views from having nice windows on each side.
Have had no problems with things getting messed up in the rear.

Everthing thats on a hanger in the closets are usually on the floor when you open the closet door, I'm a sorta lazy camper I pay very good money for a RV I should not have to try and figure out how to keep stuff on a hanger due to BOUNCE, or put cloths pins, bungie cords, or pipe cleaner ties on the hangers, to hold them there.
Oh and I did have shocks on all 4 wheels, it didnt matter it was still on the floor.
But it seems that most have had good luck with there rear kitchen, and I'm happy that they have had no problems with there RV, as we did.

Would like our next 5th to have a rear kitchen, but the lay out will have be one so when the slide is in you can open the pantry and frig. Our 5th now, when slide is in, nothing is blocked.

The slide blocking access to the frig. was something that we didn't think about until we got our fiver home. However, after looking at the pros and cons (maybe a little bit late) we decided that we got the one that is best for us. We like the room in the middle and wife did not like the big rear window in mid-kitchen models. So she's happy...I'm happy!
Backpack to fiver...and everything in between. What a life!

I agree ... that was something we required in our rear kitchen Cougar 292RKS. Nothing is blocked in the kitchen with the slide in. The LCD TV is blocked in the LR tho, but not a big deal for us.
We had a rear kitchen Cougar for 4 years. Absolutely nothing ever opened up, fell out, or was even out of place back there. The only travel movement was occasional opening of drawers in the bedroom, or the tipping over of the free-standing dining table which was right on top of the axles.
We prefer the rear lounge, as we like the rear picture window when backed into a beach site.
On ours, the entertainment center slides out to the side, just opposite of the super slide, so we don't have to look through the kitchen to see the tv.
Works well for us. It's a personal choice, though, as others have said. Some folks just love that rear kitchen. this is the replacement model for the one we have (basically the same floorplan). You can see how the entertainment center is across from the super slide, and ours is only 33 foot long, total length. The new 305 looks to be a little bit longer, but basically the same floor plan as our 295TS. Not bad for a smaller trailer. Great use of space. Works for us. Don't think the 295TS is still available...
