Check with the Goodyear G670 tires made specfically for RV's with UV protection. Most RV'ers are not interested in the longest mileage tire since they usually time limit out at 5 years old well before the tread is worn out. Goodyear tires are readily available throughout the USA. My coach had the big 12RX22.5 tires made by Toyo that were 5 years old with 60% thread left. I went to the 295X80X22.5 tires by Goodyear. Myself like another poster, I wanted a tire I could obtain on the road and the metric tires are more readily available. The Toyo 12R tires are even bigger than tires found on 18 wheelers and are hard to find. Also I don't know if it is just a Country Coach thing but Toyo's website says that do not recommend their tires for RV's. They are good tires I think but Toyo and Country Coach had a big falling out.

You have to be careful of the width also if the tires are mounted as duals in the rear. There is a certain amount of space required between the shoulders of the 2 tires. To close and they generate excess heat. To far doesn't generally happen because that generally means the tire is to small for the wheeel and/or load.

Justiceb, check out the Michelin XZE tire. It is a truck tire, but it comes in the 235/80/R22.5 size. In 2005, it was the only tire other than the XRV that came in the 235/80/R22.5 size and that size, at least in 2005, was unique to Michelin. It is a much better tire than the XRV. Also, I kept the best one of the XRVs and put it in my pass through storage (no wheel) for an emergency.

Last week I put 2 Michelin XZE 235/80 R 22.5 on my front end. They were 957.00 installed by my local garage. The nearest Ford place in Sylvia,NC wanted 997.00

I replaced those exact same tires on my Newmar KSDP with Toyo 245/75-22.5 that are the exact replacement size for the Michelin 235/80-22.5. I checked tghe specs on both brands of tires and they matched up. The Toyos were about $100 a tire cheaper and I've had them all around now for 2 years with no issues whatsoever (265/75-22.5 in the back to replace the 255/80-22.5 Michelins.

I don't think any reputable dealer will let you purchase a tire that does not properly fit the wheel. Second, I don't think they would mount it if you did purchase it.

Check the Costco web site, they have the XRVs for the best price I found. You will need to have the tires mounted at a tire shop. Costco will not mount the 22.5s.

Unfortunately the people doing the installing aren't always the sharpest tool in the shed! My son has a 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with full time 4X4. He bought a tire to replace his blown tire. They never checked when they put the tire on that their tire was 2 sizes smaller! By the way he did a change over from swamper's back to street tires at the same time and had all the tire wheel combinations rebalanced. They handled every tire and whell never said a thing, 3 weeks and 3K miles later he blew up his transfer case from it fighting itself! the dealer had the odasity to say the tire couldn't possibly be as new as his paperwork said because of the wear on it! Note paperwork had the serial number on it. Now the issue is with base legal, he is in the USAF, since it is a base vendor that sold and installed the tire. Point of all this is YOU have to pay attention, the dealers may not look out for you.
