would like to thank all that answered another post I posted regarding the good and bad of a llasha apso from the breeder. I have since changed my mind on the male dog and will pick up a female in a week.
Now for the question ,she is called mandie at the breeders but I have a niece by that name so it will not work. the new dog is white with black spots, we are having a debut about what to name this dog. I want to name her lillie because she is white. Husband and sons say that is dumb we need to name her some other name, So I am asking your help again about a name for the dog. I want some thing cute but still kind of appropriate for her size color gender and breed. Thank you so much for your help

Beth... well, honestly it's been so long (14 and a half years old now) that I don't remember why we named her.
Pippin - from the day we met the litter to pick him out, he was full of silly antics, just like the Pippin character from the Lord of the Rings novels.
Buddy - we got Buddy when he was 9 months old, his breeder had already named him. Each of his littermates' registered names had a "Chuck Berry" theme. His was Johnny Be Good. Naturally she started out calling him Johnny, but she'd had a dog named Johnny in the past, and it proved to sad for her to call him Johnny, so he became Buddy.

I had Bridget - reddish Irish looking.
Since I had Bridget, needed all "B" names:
Brandy - Brindle Shih Zhu mix
Bree - maltese(she came as Itsy Bitsy)
Baxter - Yorkie
Beau - Bichon
We also have Mocha a yorkie, but she came with that name.
We had a friend who had a black and white shih zhu named oreo.

Katie and Maggie. I had a Katie several years ago - adopted her when she was about 1 year old, came with the name Candy which I didn't like and Katie was as close to that as I could get so as to not confuse her too much. Maggie just because I liked it. Debated between that & Mollie - Maggie won. I've had a Dinah - my husband wanted to call her Dynamite because she was the spunky one in the litter - I nixed that but compromised with Dinah. Penny was a copper colored golden mix from a stray's litter in Pennyrile State Park. Schatzi was a golden mix and was my sweetheart. Lady was a laid back calm puppy who always comported herself like a lady.

We chose Sampson when he was only 3 weeks old. Don't know why I chose the name Sampson, guess I always wanted a Golden named that. Well Sampson came from a litter of 14 puppies (7 males & 7 females) we just keep picking them up until we looked into his cute little face & knew that was him.
6 yrs later my hubby got me a cute little, girly fuzz ball for my birthday & you can't have a Sampson without a Delilah, now can you?

Our Bullmastiff (140lbs) is named Brinks (our home security system).
Told my wife that we should get a female and name her Rolex (she would be an expensive "watch" dog)....
We are all good at something.....
I just happen to be a good bad example.
Occasionally in error but never in doubt.
