That's a very light camper. Airbags might not be necessary with your truck. The wife, daughter and I also just upgraded to a camper for our Jeepin'. What a great upgrade!
Can't go far wrong at that price if no obvious leaks. I believe Comfort Camp stopped making campers in 1998. If so this is one of the last ones they made.
Think of it as a starter to see if you want to go the TC route long term. You should be able to flip it for $1500 in 2 years.
Do you have a 'leveling kit' on the frontend of that truck? I notice your truck is squatted down in the rear and you have only a light load on it now. With a camper on it too you will be too high in the front. If it has a leveling kit on it, take it off and go back to the stock front springs. Otherwise you will need to raise the back end with more rear suspension (taller springs, airbags, etc).
"My first question is what are your thoughts on this particular model and the price."
I picked up a Comfort Camp this spring. Mines a bigger unit with a bathroom I paid $2800 so I think $2000 a good price. We plan on doing some boondocking so the bathroom was some thing the wife would not do with out. I don't see any problem with the quality of Comfort Camps. I know there are other people on the forum with them, they might be able to tell you what to keep an eye on.
"3rd, I will be using my 2000 F-350 with the 7.3L and with pulling a 2006 LJ Rubicon on a 16' trailer so I'm thinking that I will need air bags if I make the purchase."
I use a 2001 Dodge 2500 diesel and also tow a trailer with a race car.
I use the Rancho RS9000XL shocks and added airbags, but my TC a 1000# more than yours and I have to use a hitch extension. I don't think you will have to use an extension.
If you can do with out the bathroom I think it a good deal. As Beddows said treat it as a starter, if you want to upgrade later.

Our first camper was an 8.5' without a bath. It had a spot for a port-a-potty and a sink that worked with an external gray water tank. We went all kinds of places, had a spot for "our business" and we cleaned up using the sink. My wife was OK with that for trips of a couple of days, but still wanted a shower.
We got the hotel on wheels so I could get her to go into the back country.

Nice looking rig.
Yes it has the leveling kit on it and I like the looks. I think I would rather splurge for airbags instead of loosing the kit. The TC and Jeep would be on it maybe 2 weeks of the year.
I would prefer a quality Thetford Porta-potty to the wasted space of a cramped bathroom, but that's just me. They are just as easy to dump as a cassette toilet. No lines, no hose, no moving the camper.
You can't go wrong with a serviceable $2K camper. I'd bet you an adult beverage you won't find a serviceable pop-up for under $5K unless you get very lucky.
We did the cheap used starter camper, too. You'll save a lot of money figuring out what works and what don't. I wish we would have tried a couple more campers, too. We may have still ended up in our Bigfoot, but we may have ended up in a Six-Pac, too.
