We've had Passport America, Good Sam and Escapees memberships since we started fulltiming 4-1/2 years ago. We frequently use PA (50% off)and have found a FEW parks that only offer GS discounts (but 10% off seems to be the standard discount). Escapees has good rates at their own parks but doesn't have as many other discount parks as GS or PA--however, at the parks they DO offer (other than their own), the discounts range from 15-50%.
WHY we like PA is that we can frequently find a spot for 1-2 nights as we're moving from Point A to Point B at a GOOD rate. Haven't found a lot of their parks that we'd really want to stay a month. We like Escapees for more than JUST the discount camping. We could actually drop our GS membership, but even 10% is better than nothing a lot of places and they have MORE discount parks than any of the others.
No experience with any other discount clubs so I really can't compare--it just seems there's a lot of overlap with PA, so we haven't seen the need.

Passport and Happy Camper for us. There is a lot of duplication, but coverage varies enough to make it worth while. Camp Club doesn't even come close

Ignore this space...another messed up "overload" question.
Why Full-Timing? Because at my age, I have maybe 40 more chances to see flowers bloom.

I checked out Campclub USA. Not too impressed. I think I'll save my money and stick with PA.

I use Camp Club. I stay in the same CG every year for about 2 wks. and it more than pays for itself. It is also Less restrictive than PA in Some CG's.

You may want to look at Recreation USA. Though they don't have nearly as many campgrounds available as the other 2 clubs, their participating campgrounds only charge $10/night and seem to have less restrictions than the others.
We like to camp in the Smoky Mountains in October. While most discount campgrounds there block out the entire month of October, we were able to find nice Recreation USA campgrounds exactly where and at the time we want.
They also give you a free enrollment in their sister program "Campgrounds for Less" which offers 25% camping discounts. I have never had to used this program though.
Plus, if you only camp half a year like we do, you can get a 6 month membership for only $34. (The full year goes for $44.)

We have been using Passport America for years. It's great IF you are going in their direction or can work around the restrictions. We never go very far out of the way to find one, but like right now we have been staying in a PA campground in Oregon and it has free cable TV and free wifi. It is rated high in www.RVparkreviews.com. It is only $14/night.
We are also members of Good Sam Club and KOA (only for emergencies). We only use KOA as a last resort because they are usually about $10 to $15 higher per night than anybody else.

Here's a vote for Campclub USA. We are in our second year fulltiming, have used CCUSA from the beginning. Just extended our membership for 3 more years. 50% discount on more than 700 Woodall rated parks all over the country. What's not to like?

Passport America was definitely the better choice for us. We have a membership park and Resorts of Distinction membership through them. However, there is not always an ROD park where we are going. I did a lot of research on the websites and PA had the most parks in the areas we travel and the better deals. The first PA campground we stayed at was 10 nights at 50% discount - well worth the money for us. Check the websites and decide what works best for your needs.

A couple of people have mentioned restrictions with PA. I looked on their website but couldn't find anything about restrictions. Can anyone be more specific about what restrictions they've encountered with PA?
