I travel with a couple of lap tops and wondered if the Verizon Air Card is "married" to just one computer or can you switch back and forth between computers.

Insatll the software on both computers, then move it at will. I have the USB model aircard and it works well.

I, too, use the Verizon USB720 and love it. I have it on the desktop at home and using it here camping on the laptop. It has worked wherever I have signed on.

Get a Cradlepoint router (approx $130) and use both at the same time.

I have the Verizon PC5750 Aircard. I have installed the Verizon Manager software on both of our laptops and can move the aircard from one laptop to the other with no problems in connection from either laptop.

Recently I purchased a Windy31 wireless router and installed it on the same laptop as the Verizon aircard. Once the connection is made with the Verizon aircard-the Windy31 device creates a wireless network for the other laptop to use.

Windy31 device cost me about $60-delivered in three days. This is their WEBsite for ordering and support--

I have been very satisfied with the Verizon aircard and the Windy31 wireless router. I have no financial interest in either operation(but I wish I did actually).

We run a PC and a couple of Macs off of our Verizon aircard using a D-Link D450 router. Our router stays plugged in all the time so we have access whenever we want. We've been using it this way for a year and haven't had any problems.

If your laptop (or desktop) has built-in WiFi then the Windy31 is redundant as you can share your internet using Window's Internet Connection Sharing and Ad-Hoc wireless network.

You should be able to move the card back and forth, and I recommend using a router for simultaneous access. Either the D-link or maybe the Kyocera.

We have two computers and plan on using Verizon ourselves.
The smaller of the two computers will go with us in the car when we travel from the campsite.
They are correct, just install the software on both and you are good to go.
The CradlePoint router is nice but the WiFi is limited to a few hundred feet so if you plan on going anywhere it won't work for you at much distance.
If you are just looking to use both around your campsite the CradlePoint CTR350 or CTR500 with a few more features is the way to go.
You can get more information from the 3G Store which is a very good source of information and supplies.

I use the USB720 in my desktop and in the two laptops. Nice to check email and make reservations at 65 mph...(the passenger, not the driver).

Verizon USB720 and Cradlepoint 500 work great here for both my Vista 64 and wife's Mac.
