Can anyone comment on site size/spacing? I understand it is mostly wooded & the lake photos online look beautiful. Would also like to know if bathhouses are up to date, etc. Are the lakefront sites right on water or some distance from the water?
Any info appreciated.

IIRC, not right on the lake but ABOVE the lake with no real access from the campground. A lot of the sites are not even lake view. Site size is about average, not tiny (though a few are) but not huge either. We have driven through a couple of times but haven't been impressed enough to stay there, and we only live an hour away!
I have to disagree. We LOVE Devils Fork and have enjoyed the campground both times we have been and will surely return. Here is a couple of pictures to give a general idea of the spacing. Although it isn't really big-rig friendly, we got our 31 ft. 5'er in and out with zero problems. We love the whole area and highly recommend a drive to Caesars Head Gap on a clear day...beautiful..here's a picture of that as well. We can't wait to go back. Lake Jocassee is beautiful !! (Water was a little low in this picture). We also enjoyed visiting Table Rock State Park.

SO MANY PLACES, SO LITTLE TIME
Hi, I have to say that we loved Devil's Fork when we went there in November. They are right about it not being "water front" but I had no problems following the little trail to it. We had Site 1 which probably wouldn't work for anything much bigger than ours but was wonderful for us. Several sites along the back had a good deal of space and we saw some really big 5th wheels come in. Here's the link to some of our picks from there and places we visited near it.
Definitely worth a trip. While most SC state parks don't have huge sites, you can count on the reservation website to be accurate with site length. We have taken our 34 ft 5ver up to DF 3 times with no problem. Just book in advance. It is a great park. Make sure to pick up a waterfall guide from the office and check out some of the local falls.

For anyone who knows the roads leading to Devils Fork.....we can opt for traveling W on I40 or S on 77 to I85. Is one way much superior over the other? Pulling 23 ft TT . Any comments appreciated.
