My planning is simple .. when the kid is out of school or not playing sports.
This year we spent 5 days in Pismo on the dunes in January, again in March, went to a 3 day basketball tournament near Yosemite, just got back from another 5 days at Pismo, going again last week of July and Thanksgiving week. Not bad considering I work full time + and the kid is in school.

Just got home from visiting a friend. Their TT is still a yard ornament and some mutual friends down the road have their sons living in their Class A.

No way will we let that happen.

We have slowed down some due to other commitments and work but we've been out 40 nights just this year and going out four nights over the fourth.

It takes some planning but the kids don't wait on us and we're tired of asking.

As others have posted here, there is nothing wrong with planning a year out. You do what you have to do.

just sitting here wondering when our next trip will be. both my husband and myself are always working and we never have any free time to go anywhere. between gas prices and finding the time to go we are really frustrated. anyone else out there in the same situation? 4 more years and then we can be on the road!!!! can't wait to go fulltime.

I guess when you live so near so many great places it's like having icecream every day. You do live in NJ right?

I wish I could work, I had to take a disability retirement belive me working is better.

But hey that's me I hope you find a place to go I would skip next weekend to many people for me.

Happy camping PETE

DW and I just got back from a two week camping trip to North Georgia and are starting to seriously plan a two week trip to West Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware for October.
We already have our rebate check in the bank for gas for next years trip.
