I never belive a sales person. besides I like the seacrh for stuff. I nuy price ,service I can get any where. theres a service shop just 10miles away for the sprinter. its not a B but just a litle better. beds made all the time and plenty of room. only 23ft long.

I'm finding this thread a bit confusing. Thought the topic was mileage of the 08's? Seems to be lots of chatter about other years.

That's because - well two reasons:
1) The 2007 Roadtrek mentioned earlier - is it a 2006 chassis on a 2007 Roadtrek conversion or a 2007 chassis with a 2007 Roadtrek conversion?
2) Lots of reports on the 2002-2006 Sprinter (2.7L I5 engine) chassis - it's logical that that will be the basis for expecations for the 2007+ Sprinter (3.0L V6 engine) chassis.
However, consensus seems to be ~ 22 mpg +/- for the 2002-2006 models and maybe 17 or 18 mpg +/- for the 2007+ chassis.

We just got back from a 4,000+ mile trip from Nothern Cal to Banff by way of Yellowstone and Glacier. As previously mentioned, speed seems to be the major factor in our MPG. We got as high as 26.5 doing 58 on cruise control in the desert with no wind to a low of 17.5 doing 75 with cross and head winds. Average was around 22. 2006/2007.

We've had ample discussion about 2006 and older 5 cylinder Sprinter mileage. This is a discussion about 2007 chassis 6 cylinder diesel Sprinters.
Anyone other than KMessinger have a new 6 cylinder Sprinter to report on? The previous model had published claims by the converter manufacturers that were pretty much substantiated, but no one seems to be putting a stake in the ground for the new models. Maybe we need more corroborating testimony to establish that expectancy.

That's only 3 mpg better than my old Chevy 5.7L. Not sure that's such a good deal with diesel being nearly $1 more per gallon.
If I were in the market for a diesel, I suspect I'd be looking for a B with the I5 engine.
I've been going back and forth on a new RS diesel or 210-Popular for months, but you're right: If the 210 gets about 16mpg on reg. gas, I may go with that since diesel prices are outrageous and you're not getting that much better mileage with the 3LV6.
I also like the looks of the Chevy better, and the 08's have the improved engine, with a little more hp and torque.
This sounds like a good time to make a deal.

This thread is suppose to be about "2008 Sprinter Mileage" The OP wants to know about the new 2008 Sprinter, that's the 2008 Sprinter. If ya want to discuss other years please start a new thread, or find one of the many old ones and add to one of them.
The topic again is "2008 Sprinter Mileage Report".
Thanks,
Rodger
