It looks just like the receiver for the set up you have and I 'can' use it for the GPS!
Where did you purchase it from? It looks like all I need is the clamps!
This is the manufacturer: http://www.ram-mount.com/ They have a complete catalog and lots of options. You will just have to measure the ball portion of your base to see what size series you need, and then you should be able to find all the parts you need.
on edit Boy! Do those sites have the mounts. They have 'every conceivable' mount for every model gps, you name it you can buy parts to make it work!
Links should be a sticky somewhere for every new person that buys a gps and needs help mounting.

I removed the ashtray and put some padding into th slot where the ashtray used to be. Put the mount for the Garmin in there and it seems to work fairly well.
Our Garmin C340 came with a round plastic disk with doule sided tape. This is how I mounted it on the doghouse of our class B. BTW, the reception with the built-in antenna is perfect from this location; the GPS receivers must be very sensitive.
Generic GPS car mount with a strip of velcro on the bottom. A strip of velcro on top of the instrument panel where I want it to be. Mount/remove as needed.
