1st,
OK, I had a cracked maniford and the exhaust of my DP was all over everything. It seeped into the inside of the coach also. I have got it almost all cleaned up but still have a couple areas that I need some input from you guys (and gals).
The front roof vent must have sucked the soot out or through it while driving and all around the vent is black. It is a fabric ceiling. I used some carpet cleaner in a foamy aerosol can with a built in brush. It worked great on the floor, but was terrable on the ceiling.
Anybody know of a cleaner that may remove the soot. I know about Oxi-clean and it is just OK. Any other ideas would be appreciated.
2nd, Is there a laundry spot remover that will get used diesel oil stains out of cloths? Like my T shirts or shirts and pants etc? Have tried a couple things and the stains are still there.
Thanks
Fraenk

I would think that diesel is in the oil family but very dirty, have you thought about denatured alcohol or a mineral sprits then a rinse down with the alcohol, I would try it on a area that you cant see before you do the area that has been damaged with soot. Lookt of clean absorbint rags.

Similar issue on ours.

We used "resolve" spray on - very-very soft brush (like some use to brush their chrome wheels). It worked nicely - I scrubbed our entire ceiling that way and it's like new now.

To remove the soot, you might try Simple Green. It is a de-greaser and cuts engine oil & grease. I had a soot mark on the wall at the bed and Simple Green & a bit of elbow grease made it disappear. If the stains on the shirts have been run through the dryer, they are probably set but you might try Shout stain remover, have had some luck with that. Good luck.

I have used 303 Cleaner and Spot Remover for Carpet and Upholstery to remove some oil and grease stains from carpet... Worked great...

The product is readily available from a variety of sources...

Thanks, this is the kind of answer I was hoping to find. Will pick some up today, there is a supplier just a few miles down the street.
