Have the weekend booked at Blue Spruce CG Vallecito Lake, CO, just a local run, but not sure if we are gonna make it. MIL's cancer appears to have metastisized. Waiting on more testing. Houston is not really where I wanna go for the 4th.

We'll be at the Virginia Border Collie Association's summer sheepdog trial on a farm outside Luray, VA (in the valley just west of Big Meadows on Skyline Drive). It's gonna be HOT.

We've camped at Letchworth State Park several times thus far. We've enjoyed it every time. Make sure you do lunch at Glen Iris Inn. We've also done a river raft ride/dinner down the Genesee River. Awesome.

We'll be at the Loleta Recreation Area in the Allegheny National Forest over the July 4th weekend this year.

We are going to Ayers Lake Campground in Barrington NH. We will be there for four days. Nice quiet private lake.

Any interesting camping trips planned for July 4th weekend?

We're going to Letchworth State Park (in NY). We've been hiking there, but never camping.

We'll be at Palmer Gulch (the Mt. Rushmore KOA) for the weekend.

We'd prefer somewhere a little more rustic, but it's only our second trip out, and there will be lots to do there for the toddler, so it's a good fit for now. I'm hoping we can see some of the Mt. Rushmore fireworks from the campground, since it's almost impossible to get to the monument for them unless you head out WAY earlier than we'll be able to.

We'll have fun regardless! We're excited!

Mt Rushmore sounds AWESOME. It's on my list of places to visit before I die.
