We just purchased a new 2007 Keystone Outback 26RKBS. The trailer seems to be relatively well designs except for one feature. The Fresh water tank drain valve is in between the axles. I can barely reach it when I reach between the wheels.

Has anyone ever moved the drain valve closer to the edge of the trailer where it would be easier to reach?

Yes, and I moved (entended in length) my low point drains and also added 1/4 turn valves as well - and probably my next TT project will be to reverse the fresh water tank drain to the street side of the TT where it will drain in to my evergreens and also replace that pitifully small drain valve with a 1/2" or larger quarter turn valve...

I haven't done it but extending the drain lines is very easy with proper plumbing supplies. I would simply place some clear vinyl hose over the drain nipple and run this to wherever you want it, you will need another valve that you can buy at any hardware store, you may have to fabricate a bracket to hold it out of sheetmetal or...? You will then leave the valve on the tank open at all times.

Easiest solution...

I have the same issue compounded by the fact that my slide out is over the axles as well making it impossible to reach unless I crawl under the slide.

Use your awning pull rod. Slide the circle end over one side of the valve handle and you can push/pull as needed.

No investment needed --- works like a champ!!

I misread this request. I thought you were asking about the grey water valve. Sorry...

That will teach me to skim through a post then try to sound helpful...
