I bought my 92 28ft Bounder with a 454 tbi and the four speed transmission new. I have a record of every gallon of gas put in it and where I put it in. My average mileage is 8.687 for 42156 miles using 4852.4 gal. and that includes running the generator. I never pulled a toad but did pull a trailer with my tractor and tools, from Bend, OR. to Mansfield, OH.

I have a 99 PA 37' with the 454 and average about 8 mpg. Will drop my speed on the trip to SP paul and will see if it helps.

To inject some comic relief, I had a boat with 2 454's. I got .71 mpg with that boat. It had a 260 gallon tank. It was easier to just figure 38 gallons per hour and having covered 30 statue mile. RV's seem cheap!

'94 Allegro 28DA (29'10") coming up from Alabama running on 6 cyl and one loose exhaust manifold and no reverse got 7.5 mpg. Can't wait to see what she gets now that she is fixed up proper and running smoothly on all 8 cylinders.

I had a 1995 35' Dolphin with a 454 engine. I pulled a 2001 PT Cruiser.
Most of the time the generator was running and using fuel from the tank while on the road. I would drive aprox 70 MPH and I got 5.99MPG for the total time I had it.
