I've always used wood to level my PU but now that we have a TT, I'm rethinking that. I went today and got 4 pieces of 2x12 cut into 6 ft lenghts. They are so heavy and take up so much darn room. Don't even fit in the back of the truck bed. I have them up on the tailgate.

So, do you use wood or those stacking blocks? What type of wood do you use or how many of the blocks do you have?

Thanks ahead of time.

A few pieces of wood and two packages of the legos.

2 packages of orange legos (total of 20, though I've never used more than 12 at any one time)

I carry 8 pieces of 2x6x8, 4 pieces of 1x6x8, and 4 pieces of 2x6x60. Had to use all of them once on one side of the trailer, I was a bit worried at first, but nothing moved or shifted.

Same here. Two packages of orange legos and a couple of pieces of wood just in case. The only time I needed the 2nd pack of legoes was on a trip with a friend who had a blow-out. At the light weight the legoes are, a 2nd pack is worth it.

I bought 8 foot 2x8s and cut them in half for leveling at the tires. I cut 18" lengths for blocking under the landing gear and rear corners. I have found recently that my 2x8s are beginning to split from the weight sitting in the middle. I see that there are lots of folks using the building blocks... guess that answers the question..

I used with the TT and now with the 5er, 10 pieces of 7/16 osb board cut 10" x 10". When the bubble is off one notch, it equates to 1 board under each tire. They are light, stackable, and were leftover scraps from building my house. Any size would work, but they have to be able to fit between the tires about 5 high to be on the safe side. It's just what works for me. Good Luck and Drive Careful!

I use trex decking 2x6 scraps from my deck all the way around. It's soft, never cracks, and conforms better than lumber to the contours of the ground. I have enough to go 3 high on one side, but mostly never go more than 2. Works awesome, and they were free.

I use a shovel. We mostly dry camp. So I use a shovel to dig a small trench deep enough to make the trailer level.
