Thanx, guys. I am arriving at the conclusion that I don't have a converter. I'll try the TV test next time I'm at the M/H. Any recommendations as to which one I should buy? Cheap but good!
If your looking for something to watch TV, satellite, etc., just purchase a 400 watt convertor from Walmart, Costco, etc. $40.00 or less and it will serve your needs perfectly. Just plug into a cig ligher and plug your TV and Satellite into it and your good to go.
If you feel the need to run a microwave, coffee pot etc from it, you will need a 1000 to 2000 watt invertor and an installation process.....lots of money there.

I'm thinking the charger function may be more important than the ability of the inverter. I've read quite a bit on here about how an inverter/charger is the best way to keep the house batteries charged without overcharging. What would be a good system for that?
The Inverter/charger on mine is right where the AC cable goes into the compartment off shore power. It goes right to it. Mine has a 2000 watt Inverter/charger Freedom 458 Heart Interface and I believe it is manufactured by Xantrex. I have no clue what one of this things cost, but if you have it, you would spot it right away. It is about eight inches high, about the same in wideth, but in length it is about 14"long. It has a fan in it. You would spot it right away, so you probably don't have one.
I have used mine when boon docking for everything but the air conditioner.
