The pension vermin are the politicans tha retire with full salary, even if they only serve one term. We get what we vote for, and for some reason the American people keep re-electing the same idiots over and over. Futures market is doing us in and our politicans are looking the other way, DEMS and REBUBLICANS. Maybe one solution
OPEC sells oil for $136.00 a barrel.
OPEC nations buy U.S. grain at $7.00 a bushel.
Solution: Sell grain for $136.00 a bushel.
Can't buy it? Tough! Eat your oil!
Ought to go well with a nice thick grilled filet of camel a**!!!

I like the OFEC idea. What ever the other countries depend on the most from us gets steady increases. Let them eat cake.

Stan,
First of all, a BIG thank you for protecting us for the years in the USCG. 2nd, You have earned every penny of that pension, don't ever let anybody tell you otherwise. You should be very proud.
Sure, this is your first DWI spot check. How many beers did you say you had?

The Dems have been in control for 4 years.
Nope, not even close. Try a year and a half.
It doesn't matter, though. There won't be a real solution until BOTH parties stop playing politics and work together. Of course, we'll probably see pigs flying before that happens.

Ask any yocal what they're pulling down, it's such a waste......they're the only unaffordable problem in this country. They're especially fond of bashing the private sector and corporations alike. Such welfare hypocrits.
I guess I resemble that remark... The whopping $2K a month I pull down after 23+ years of serving my country, combined with the 400 bucks a month my 100% disabled wife gets is breaking the bank.

Actually, since it is an acronym, it should be capitalized ANWR (no 'A') but usually isn't.

Everything including oil is worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it right now. Nothing more, nothing less.
