There is no control if there was no panel ordered on the camper, Lance only puts a cutout with a red light if you order a solarpanel.On my 2003 1161 I ordered the 50 watt panel and the light was under the sink,on the 1181 the wires are bunched up in the upper cupboard.

That ain't necessarily so. My '05 981 Max came solar ready with no panel. I just had the panel installed by the dealer (actually a bit larger panel than Lance was delivering at that time.) No muss, no fuss, and it's worked perfectly for 3 years.
I was there when the dealer had to call Lance to figure out where the controller was hidden. Its really tough to see. IIRC, it's in the cabinet with the access to the transfer switch & the plumbing for the San-T-Flush between the silverware drawer and the bathroom wall. Its WAAY back in the right rear corner.

I have a 2002 Lance 915. The solar panel controller is in the under sink cabinet to the right of the sink, on the wall next to the front of the camper.

Is the controller black with a telephone type plug going into it and also several electrical connections listed like PR+ PR - ?

Thank you for all the answers and ideas.
We called Lance and they were very helpful. There is no charge controller installed when they pre-wire for solar.

That sounds like the relay board for the electric camper jacks. P would be passenger rear.
If the others are DR DF and PF, then that is very likely what it is.
