As usual this year has been so busy I have not been able to follow nascar as much as I would like to, in fact I don't know if I've even been able to watch a complete race yet.

There was just a blurb on the tube that Tony Stewart was "looking for sponsors". I recall some scuttle-but that he was looking to start his own team(s)???? Is this set in stone? Is he out of gibbs next year and on his own?

Can someone explain why Kane is on fire seemingly all of the sudden? What has changed?????

If....IF....Tony does move to another team and possibly one where he is part owner, he will need to secure a sponsor(s). But nothings happened yet, (that anyone outside the circle knows of). So right now, he's sittin pretty with Joe Gibbs Racing with great backing and a fantastic car/motor choice. Today, Toyata had its first 123 finish.
Why Kane is on fire????? I think his team is as surprised as he is. Not that he doesn't deserve to win, he's a class act.

Just my opinion but it would make sense for him to stay with Gibbs and become part owner of another car or cars. Other drivers have done that while staying where they are. Jeff Gordon/Rick Hendrick, Mark Martin/Jack Roush (before Martin left the Roush team), and others.

He's got a sweet thing going with Gibbs and have won championships together, so why would either change at this time.

My Brother in law works at Haas autmomation in the fab shop........he told me a couple of weeks ago that Stewart is coming over to be an owner in Haas next year and to make that happen Chevy is paying Joe Gibbs to get Stewart out of his contract with Joe Gibbs........

No way of telling if this is true or not.......might just be the rumor going around in the shop but, at Christmas time he also told me that Casey Mears was getting the boot from Hendricks at the end of this season too.........and that actually came to light the past week or so........

I think Tony is pissed that he is not the #1 driver at JGR anymore.

I think Joe has it right...its got to be humbling to have someone like Kyle come aboard and do so well. Personally, I can't stand Kyle, but the little turd can drive. He seems to be earning the comparison between himself and Dale Sr. I just hope that Tony doesn't wait too long to get his act together and be a contender for the chase.

I think it is just getting his confidence level back. When the fans voted him in, in the all star event at Charlotte and he came from dead last to win it, it was just like someone hit the on switch for him.
