Have heard that it pays well. Straight time, time and a half and double time. Heard that it is 12 hour days, seven days a week for about 3 or 4 weeks.
Any one tried it or know of someone that has ?
I worked for 11 seasons hauling from a farm to the Hillsboro,ND pilers. The workers do work 12 hr shifts, and the plant runs 24/7. Exceptions are, when temps get to high and harvested beets are to warm to stockpile, and when rain precludes harvest equipment operating in the fields. Workers are sent home when this happens. Pay is as stated, and usually camping sites are also paid for.Workers stayed in the same RV park that I used in Hillsboro, and most, but not all, were satisfied with pay, hours, etc. You will work when it is cold and windy and sometimes light snow. Nite shift may be less desirable. There seems to be a bonus for returning workers.
I saw one ad that said $2K for the few weeks and you work at the recieving station. Unfortunately, by the time you buy fuel to get to North Dakota and back you've used up the pay..............
