We bought a bunk house, and the kids slept in front of the TV still, so we sold and went to a rear living room set up.

We have a Sunnybrook 3150 5th wheel w/quad bunks in the back. Our kids/friends use the bunks. DD is 16 1/2 & is my size & DS is 11 1/2. They love their own room w/tv/games/dvds. We still have plenty of living space as the couch & dinette is a super slide. I often think of trading in on one w/big window & 2 recliners, but can't find 1 with as much storage & closet area as ours. Maybe 1 day...but I'd still like to keep the Sunnbrook.

Just make them sleep in the bunks. You're the parent.

I go to sleep before DS does most nights. I wanted a rear living room anyway, and only bought the bunkhouse for him to have his own space. If he didn't care about having his own space, I will take my living room space.

Hi we had bought a new 2007 Cougar bunkhouse for our Daughter she is 10 it had her own Jack Knife sofa and top bunk and entertainemnt center Big closet and she would sleep on the living room sofa what a waste that was we used the new 5er maybe 5 times YIKESS!!~~`So we traded it in our A new late Model 2007 4 slide Everest~~She loves sleeping on the Living room Hidebed!~~Think twice on the bunkhouse you Either Live with a big Mistake or you Take a loss on a trade in~~~
We Opted for the Big all in One Big Bathroom Model it helps when you have kids~you can dress in there ! Also when you have the Bunkhouse you Sacrifice Living space you have either the small sofa or the Dinnette for relaxing it was not enjoyable for us at all~We now have a huge living room even when the hide a bed is out it is not in our way at all~We can walk around & sit in the recliners that was very Important to us so we can all lounge in the Living room area even if the Hide a bed was open~~ We also like the rear Full Enertainment center with the fireplace~~Sandy

I figure if the kids (8 & 6) stop using the bunks (something I doubt seriously) I will just start a remodeling project. For us though we really need the sleeping space because someone almost always tags along.

We had the same issue - loved the bunk room in the Sunnybrook but

A)no place to entertain other people or sit except a 2 person couch.

B)the bunk room is dark due to lack of windows in the Sunnybrook, it has 1 in the bunk side only.

We decided on a Cruiser 31SB with the lifestyle lounge. Problems A & B solved. The 31SB has a bunk room and 4 windows plus a roof vent - dark room solved. It also has a better wardrobe with actual drawers. The problem of seating is fixed, too. We ordered the lifestyle lounge, it replaces the couch/booth dinette with a full slide couch with storage drawers, large air bed, 2 removable tables. This will give us a place to throw several people to play game, eat, entertain or watch TV.

I can't imagine NOT having a bunk room, the kids (3&5) love having their "own" space and storage area. They also play well in their and let mom and dad sleep in a bit sometimes!!

If you want, Cruiser even has another option. The 32BL is a rear living 5th wheel with a 2 bunk min-slide room. Check it out on crossroadsrv.com

We have a Wildcat with the rear bunkhouse and my 11-year old daughter loves it, someplace for her to get away from Mom & Dad. We figure that we'll get another fiver when she goes off to college and it's just the two of us.
