This summer we are at Bryce Canyon and then go to Oregon for a state park there. Next summer we are booked at Zion National Park and at Arches. We are only open for June and July for 2009. We would love to find a volunteer position with a golf course for those months, or for 2010. Anyone know of a campground with a golf course out west??

Does Texas count as out west? I know of four state parks with golf courses that have hosting positions.

I frequent the parks that have courses on a regular basis. I live near two of them, so play them regularly. Lockhart State Park has a nice little 9 hole course. It is run by the park staff and is in good shape. This little park is a gem in Central Texas. Bastrop State Park is a great park with a horrible golf course. The course is run by a concessionaire and has been run into the ground. However, there are two excellent courses, Colo Vista and Pine Forest, located in the same town. Stephen F. Austin State Park has a 18 hole golf course also run by a concessionaire, last time I was there it was in fair shape. Lots of Texas specific history in this area. The final park with a course is Inks Lake State Park. Again another fine park with a 9 hole course run by a local golf association.

How about farther east of TX, say in Myrtle Beach? Or Disney World? Any positions like that you are aware of?

Thanks
