What do you carry your shower stuff in when you take campground showers? Back in our tenting and pop up days, I had a hard plastic box-type thingy with a handle that I used. It had small compartments just big enough for things like soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, etc. It was about a foot long and just perfect. My daughter has just bought a pop up and her family is just beginning to start rving. I was wondering what everyone uses nowadays to carry their shower stuff in. This thing I had was just great because it didn't matter if you got it wet, so you could just take it into the shower with you. I don't remember where I got it as it was so long ago.

We have a couple of mesh totes. You can easily find stuff in them, they dry quickly and ventilate. You can hang them on a shower room hook...also easily stored. Here is an example..get them anywhere.

On the rare occassions when I use the campgrounds bathhouse (I have shower/potty in my PUP), I too use a mesh bag - actually two - one for the wet washcloth/towel.

Some years ago we somehow ended up with a plastic bucket that originally held ice cream. It was the right size for the stuff we carried to and from the shower.

Years later, I still have my "bathroom bucket."

I have a large leather bag that hold everything...and I do mean everything. I put all items in ziplock bags in case they open in transit. The bag has a nice long strap so I can hang it on the door or, if there is no hook I can hang it over the corner of the door.

Thank you very much for all your replies. I really liked the mesh totes, downtheroad. Fordsooperdootydieselsmoker, you had some great ideas, also. I will be using some of them for sure. I knew I would find an answer from you guys because you always come through.

I'm a librarian & I always have scads of book totes that I get for freebies. We have a couple in the Pup that we use as bath totes/beach totes/extra shopping bags. When they wear out, I'll pull out some more from my closet!

Hi,
I used to go camping with my parents and call me picky but I always hated taking showers and standing on the cement floor. So mom and I took a nice size rubber bath mat and cut it in half I would put half outside the shower and half inside the shower to stand on. That way our feet didn't get dirty on the floor after taking a shower.

As for hauling stuff to and from... I had one of those tool caddies with a locking lid. The kind that have the trays so you get a couple levels of storage. I kept my hair dryer and curling iron in the bottom and hotel shampoos and soaps in one tray and makeup in another. We always used the hotel sized soaps and shampoos so we didn't have to worry about having a wet bar of soap to drag around with us. If you know someone who travels in hotels a lot you can have them start collecting them for you My dad was a traveling salesman so he stayed in a lot of hotels.
