Put a deposit on a Wildcat QBBS today after alot of looking. I am having a Reese Signature hitch installed on Wednesday and picking up trailer on Thursday. We looked the trailer over pretty good. Should I be looking for anything special when we do the PDI? This is my first trailer so I don't want to overlook anything.

Well Congrat's, you guys got a really nice floorplan. Did you get the 1/2 bath option or did you skip on that?

Anyways, there is a checklist link:

Checklist

The checklist is really in depth and some things may not apply to the fifth wheel you are buying, some items are really critical like slide, electrical, structure, plumbing, etc. Don't be affraid to ask them to fix it on the spot or refuse delivery if a major issue exists.

Take a notebook with you, take good notes! Have a great time!!!!!

Well, I could go both ways on that. I think the extra storage space is more useful then the extra bath, especially with kids!!!!

Have fun!

Here are a couple of Wildcat owner forums you might want to check out.

Forest River Wildcat Camper Forum: http://www.wildcatcamperforum.com/index.htm

Wildcat Owners Forum: http://www.wildcatonline.com/

Sorry those are not clickable links, but this site won't do the linking function. Copy and Past will work.

wishin-N-fishin; We also bought the same model. Keep an eye on your rear slide. The factory installed cheap parts on the slide. Our slide came out of adjustment and tore the underside apart. Our dealer took the slide out and installed heavy duty parts which, hopefully, corrected the problem.

Thus far, we've really enjoyed our rig.

Congrats on the new purchase. Take a small TV with you and maybe a DVD. Check all the coax TV connections (Wildcats have had notorious issues with splitters being installed incorrectly causing snowy reception or no reception at different TV locations) Just because you have good reception in the main living area does not mean you will have good reception in the bunk house or main bedroom. Also the Concertone should be checked for proper operation & sound as several members have had these replaced. I believe there are newer & improved models in the 09's though so maybe you will be good on that. Also if you have the black tank flush....check it! Mine was not connected up when I went to use it. Overall you will be very happy with your unit. We have the 07 model and love it.

Also check the valve stems, lots of us folks have found that they split right where the rubber meets the rim. You might have to bend them a little to see the split.
