I just thought about this and realized I have never paid attention to it before and looking on manufactures websites haven't been able to find out anything about it
When you buy a new Motorhome does it come with the external power cable and a sewer hook up?
Sorry if this seems dumb but it took me a long time to notice it so it seemed maybe it was a stupid question
Thanks for your replies!

It will come with the power cable and most dealers will throw in a sewer hose kit. If not buy a good one like a Rhino or similar. You don't need to be cheap when you have your last meal passing through your hands!!

Shoreline power cord = yes
Blackwater hose = no

However, our dealer gave us a gift certificate when we purchased our rig that we used to buy the sewer hose and other necessities.

If there's one accessory worth spending big bucks on (relatively speaking), it's the waste hose (and a dozen pair of disposable one-shot nitrile gloves). The cheapie ones will rot in your cellar, the somewhat better ones will only develop pinholes to spray whoever is walking by your site while you are dumping.

Buy the expensive rhino one (solid brown plastic, not flex with steel spiral wire). You can jump on it and it still feels solid, after 2 full seasons in the Arizona sun.

You know, this probably depends on the dealer. My first purchase 2 years ago from a dealer (part of a local 'chain') didn't include anything - but we were promptly directed to their parts and accessories room where we parted with more money to buy sewer, water and electrical accessories. All seemed right at the time to a couple of rookies! Boy, was that stuff overpriced!

My recent MH purchase 2 weeks ago from a much smaller, but much more Professional dealer here in the DFW metroplex came with a good quality sewer hose, a new fresh water hose and regulator and an entire box of holding tanks treatments. Clearly these came from THEIR own accessories room, as they still had the price stickers on them. A nice touch on their part - it amounted to probably only 1/10 of 1% of the sales price, but it just reinforced to my what a class act they are.

Our dealer had a package too. It was the sway bars and brake controller that were extra.

When we bought our ours, which was our first, we had the option of buying a starter kit. It had all the plugs and cords and a cheap sewer hose which we quicky replaced, a tool set, etc.

Our Phoenix Cruiser came with This Really Cool Sewer Hose. Our RV also came with that special 30 amp, 30 foot electric cable.

If shopping for a new RV, you really need to ask if they offer this sewer management system. It really is quick, clean, and simple with no gloves required, no handling of biohazzard waste tubes. Every time I dump at a community dump station, the people waiting behind me, come over and watch in amazement.

The Phoenix Cruiser has it standard on every one they sell.

Ron I looked at that system. No room for it.
