Cracker Barrel is friendly but their parking lot isn't always. We have had to unhook our tow vehicle before because it was just too tight to get around in the parking lot.

THat's a great directory and will have toi store it away. But just because it says RV parking does that mean you can stay there? Guess with phone number's can always call ahead and ask if there open.

Have to say CB is one of our favorite places to stop and eat the foods always good and down home and you always get enough to fill ya Only problem I'm ready to eat and DW wants ta look around first but I reckon that's why I might be the captain when I'm at work on the boat But I'm just the Pilot when I get home Cause we both know who's the Capt. at home

Stopped at a CB a few weeks back in Abq., not only had RV parking, but a new dealer in the area was showing off a new diesel pusher in the parking lot. Took the walk through, and DW got her CB oatmeal (she thinks they are the best). Made for a really nice stop, but do agree some of their RV parking is chiseled out of not enough parking lot.

Next time you're at a CB, pick up the hard copy of their locations map; they always have a rack of them by the register. But even if the web site or map says the parking is "available," that doesn't necessarily mean that overnight is OK. They do have an official corporate policy of welcoming RVs overnight unless local conditions counterindicate this.

Many parking lots are ok for "Boondock" use after hours (Just make sure it's not the kind of lot where you will leave a reminder as you sink into the surface)
Most C.B.'s are RV friendly.. I assume there are exceptions.
However when it comes to what you did (Overnight) you may run into a problem. NOT so much with management as law enforcement.
Some states, counties or cities (Townships, villages and so on) have rules against overnight stops anywhere other than a proper campground.
Thank our sponsors for that rule by the way.. They lobby governments to pass them.
If you are in such an area you will find signs at the Wall Mart, the Flying-J and the like warning against overnight parking of RVs
It's not the facility that prohibits... It is the LAW.
Just so you know... DO NOT BLAME THE FACILITY
Now.. that said.. I can understand such rules.. but it's also dangerous for a over-tired driver to try and find a camp ground when what he needs is sleep. And letting someone catch a couple of hours rest in a parking lot can prevent a fatal accident.. So as you can see I think there are politicians who ... Well... Need to be replaced.
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

The one time we stayed at a Cracker Barrel was our 3rd trip out. Got a late start, had some problems which threw us later and ended up staying at a Walmart parking lot from 11 PM till 4 AM. Woke up to wind that reminded me of a tornado, so we jumped up and pulled out (left the truck attached to the 5'er and not slides out or anything down, so it was quick.) Went down the road 2 hrs., found a Cracker Barrel and went to breakfast. We had pulled into the RV parking in the rear - there were 3 slots for RV'ers. They are just 2 regular slots marked for RV's. After breakfast I got back behind the wheel but told Bill "Let me rest my eyes a minute." After a few mins. I said "This is crazy - let's go to bed and take a nap!" So we crawled into the 5'er, he got on the laptop in the recliner and I went to bed. No slides, he opened the door for air and a couple of windows and we were fine - it was fall. I slept 3 hrs.! We got up, went back in for coffee and they said "Oh, you're still here?" They were fine with it and had commented on our rig and how nice it was, etc. and how jealous they were that we could do this. I told them about my nap and they loved it! Go Cracker Barrel!
