During first trip we had a little rain and while we loved the power awning when we got the trailer we found that they have no ajustment that we know of to let rain run off. it' is to flat and don't pitch either way for rain to run off. Therfore pooled on the awning to point that arm's started to bend. Anyone know how to adjust or modifiy for this to work properly?

We are in the same situation. When it rains, we close the awning.

There's been several threads started about the power awning and lack of adjustment. From what everyone has said there is no way to adjust one side lower than the other so the rain can run off. I always thought I wanted a power awning, but I'm re-thinking it now.

We have an A&E power awning an according to the manual if rain does gather on the awning there is an automatic feature that dumps it off. This is our first power awning and we use it all the time. I haven’t allowed the rain dump or wind sensor to work, because it if looks bad or the wind picks up I just push a button and close it. Sure glade we have it.

This all depends on which electric awning you have. The Carefree Eclipse is fully adjustable, just like a manual awning. Ours will go from horizontal to about 50 degrees and either leg cab be adjusted separately for runoff.

Our's has an automatic dump feature. It works well too, we have had mild rain and left the awning up and all of a sudden one side will drop a few degrees and the water comes gushing off. You don't want to be standing under it when it decides to let go.

We also have the Carefree Eclipse arms upgrade and it can be adjusted just like a manual awning. You get what you pay for. The electric upgrade with the Eclipse arms was about $350.00 more than for the arms like you describe with no adjustment.

I love them. No more brace arms to walk into (-:

I have a Carefree that doesn't adjust and am wondering if there is an upgrade kit for it that would add adjustment. Also if it does exist, how much would it cost?
