I've been using Firefox 3 since it became available with no problems up until yesterday. I had all my login user names and passwords saved so all I had to do was click on rv.net and it would automatically log me into this forum, etc. Don't know what happened but it does do that any more.

Anybody have any ideas?

Sounds like you hit the wrong key and deleted them.I would say just put them back in and see if it work`s.If you ran any program to clean your memory on the computer that is whey they went.

Nope, If I go to tools, options, security, saved passwords.. everything is there. I thought that's what I did at first.

Also, they are saved as long as I don't close Firefox.. if I go from here to some other sites then come back to rv.net, it'll just log me in.

Well so much for my idea. May be my geek step son will chime in.

Check options, privacy, "Always clear my data when I exit Firefox." If that is checked then FF is deleting your cookies every time you quit. The cookies keep you logged into sites.

Nope, only things cleared are browsing and download histories and cache. Plus it's set to always ask before clearing.

Sounds like cookies. What are you settings for deleting cookies. In FF 2, you have the option of deleting cookies when you close FF, I would imagine that this same option is available in FF3.

No, I've got cookies set to retain til they expire. And I'm set to be asked before deleting anything.
