If you think they are noisy, then how do you think they sound to people who are not used to kids noise???? And you think that 7:30 AM is OK for them to be "too noisy?" I think that is just plain inconsiderate.
Wow. I am just shaking my head at this point. Is there a special place for people like this?

OP here again. When I wrote that I percieve them as too noisy, I was speaking relative to the silence of the morning campground environment, when even footsteps crunching on leaves can be heard by others. I'm not talking about having my kids screaming across the campground, or bouncing a basketball in the road, or shooting bottlerockets. (no, we don't shoot bottlerockets when we camp!! I'm just making a point!) I'm talking about normal kid conversation voices, or the sound of bicycle tires on the pavement, or opening the car door to grab some food.
I found my answer. If quiet hours are over at 7am, I'm perfectly ok with letting them out of the tent at 7:30. So, if you're a camper who isn't accustomed to child noises at 7:30, and you'll be camping in Ohio State parks, I apologize ahead of time for the inconvenience. I know I've camped near some incredibly inconsiderate people...night-time partiers, loud talkers, loud radio-players, foul-language people, fighting families, people who walk through my site, people who don't supervise thier kids...I try to live by the golden rule, and I have a lot of examples of what not to do. I was just wondering what others thought about the morning issue.

Thanks!
You beat me to it! I was going to clarify what you meant when you said "too noisy". I know EXACTLY what you mean about small noises being so loud first thing in the morning.
We stay up late around the campfire and try to be as quiet as possible but I know there are times when one of us has laughed too loud. We try to camp in busy campgrounds or group camp areas where our noise won't bother those around us.
There is no difference between being too loud early in the morning or too loud at night. Just use your best judgment.
For the cranky people who don't want to hear a child until 10:00 a.m., I think you need to camp in your driveway only -- unless your neighbors have children.

We've camped in all three in the last 5 summers: tent, PUP, and now a TT. If my kids are still asleep at 8am I check to make sure they are still breathing....
Now that we are in a trailer we don't hear the birdies so they are tending to sleep till 8 or 8:30. That's just not gonna happen in a tent, when them birdies are calling for them to wake up.
I have no qualms about letting them out at 7:30 - quiet hours are over and the sun is up. Now, if I think they are being too rowdy I'll givem a shhhh and remind them that some people are still sleeping. That'll hold em for at least 15 minutes.
OK I got slammed so here is my response. I am not a grouch, actually don't mind kids and often invite them over to do "dog training" with my very well behaved golden retirever. Kids having fun is OK with me, I don't enjoy their constant screaming and often other unnecessary noise. Hey, I bought a house next door to the neighborhood swimming pool, so that should tell you my position on kids having fun.
But the OP said they "are too noisey". I can only go by what she said, and if she thinks they are too noisey at 7:30 AM then she should do whatever is appropriate so that they do not interfere with others. "Too noisey" is unacceptable anytime, regardless of whom makes the noise and when it is made. Seems like this is a great opportunity to teach the kids consideration of others, rather than just saying, "Oh well, quiet hours are over too bad for anyone who may be disturbed." And that is what the OP seems to be saying and doing.

No, that's not what I'm saying and doing. If it were, then I wouldn't have bothered to ask on this forum. I would have just done whatever I wanted, or let the kids do whatever they want.
As long as they don't have bagpipes they won't bother me. Just keep them in your site at that early hour and out of mine and we'll get along fine.
(Actually, the only time I ever got mad about kids playing was when we camped near a bunch of Boy Scouts. Some moron thought they needed to give the kids whistles, which they blew at all hours starting at daybreak. Their den leader was an idiot who called the kids back to camp by blasting an airhorn!)

What about the drums?? I would love to come wake you up with my drum playing!! Just not bagpipes right??
Not really, I would never do that! I can't imagine how I would feel if someone did that to me!

You have GOT to get a life...10 AM? You're outta your mind. By your rules it would be lunch time before anyone can get around! Whatever!
